On Friday, 5 September 2025, on the occasion of the Entrepreneur’s Day, a ceremonial event on the role of entrepreneurship in Ukraine’s recovery, strengthening of the national economy, and promotion of international business partnerships took place at the Ukraine Hotel.

The event, organised by the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine), became an important platform for sharing experiences, establishing new contacts and finding joint solutions for Ukraine’s integration into the European and global economic space.

Pavlo Kryvonos, GDIP Director-General, Artem Romaniuk, Deputy Director-General, Ivan Vasylets, Adviser to the Director-General on Social and Political Issues, and Valerii Komyshnyi, Head of Security at the Inpredkadry Directorate, joined the event on behalf of the State Enterprise ‘Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions’.

In his address, Pavlo Kryvonos, GDIP Director-General, underlined the importance of the event for boosting Ukraine’s economic growth and accelerating the European integration process:

‘Today’s event is not only a celebration of entrepreneurship. It is also a platform to talk about reconstruction, investment, and ways to convert partner trust into sustainable economic growth […] I would like to welcome the representatives of the Embassies we have invited, namely diplomats from Denmark, Finland, Japan, Lithuania, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. We are grateful to foreign diplomats in Ukraine for their support and for the bridge of trust they build every day between our country and the world. The GDIP has been and will remain a reliable partner in the preparation of events, supporting the missions’ day-to-day operation, and creating a comfortable and safe environment for interaction with Ukrainian businesses.’

In addition, during the event, the President of ICC Ukraine Volodymyr Shchelkunov presented Pavlo Kryvonos with an honorary award — the Order of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
