FORMATION OF
THE SE GDIP

Diplomacy is one of the main tools of a country’s foreign policy, enabling conflict resolution, promoting economic development, and expanding cultural and scientific ties.
In 1972, an idea emerged that laid the foundation for one of the prototypes of the future Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions — Directorate for Service to the Consular Corps of the Executive Committee of the Kyiv City Council of People’s Deputies. The dedication and professionalism of its founders helped intensify its work, primarily in the construction and service sectors.
29 April 1992 marked a significant turning point when the Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions (GDIP) was officially established under the decree of the Presidential Representative of Ukraine.
Over the decades, GDIP has continually developed and improved its activities, gaining experience and skills in working with foreign missions. This relentless work paved the way for reaching a new level when, on 1 July 2013, the enterprise became subordinate to the State Affairs Department of the President of Ukraine. This step highlighted the importance and crucial role of GDIP in the diplomatic sphere and its significant place in the public administration system.
To this day, GDIP remains a state enterprise, subordinate to the State Affairs Department of the President of Ukraine.
