Botanical illustration is an artistic genre that blends scientific accuracy with the skilful depiction of the shape, colour and subtle details of plants to emphasise their weightlessness and sensual beauty. Under the professional guidance of an experienced artist, you will learn how to capture the beauty of botany in detail: the smooth curve of a leaf, the soft shadow on a stem, the transparency and lightness of flower petals. During the lesson, you will also learn the basics of working with watercolours, the principles of creating depth and volume, as well as techniques for delicate colour mixing. For more inspiration, you will be able to use a selection of aesthetic references and choose a composition to your liking or create your own unique subject. All the necessary materials — professional watercolour paper, paints and brushes — will be provided.

The workshop will run in a creative and relaxed atmosphere of the art studio, with pleasant music to help you concentrate and get inspired. In this special space, each line and each stroke will gradually develop into a unique work of art. Participation in the event will be a great opportunity to learn more about the peculiarities of the structure and colour of plants and to plunge into the magical world of watercolour painting.
