Floral Paradise Near Kyiv: Diplomats Visited Dobropark Arboretum

On Friday, 10 July 2026, the staff of the Media Center Directorate organised an exciting trip for diplomats to the landscape park Dobropark Arboretum, which was joined by representatives of the Embassy of Sweden, international organisations — the European Union Advisory Mission, the World Bank, Progetto Arca, as well as servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Dobropark is a place that annually impresses with its variety of seasonal blooms. In the summer, its highlights are endless lavender fields, bright petunias, royal lilies, and other decorative plants that create a unique atmosphere for recreation. Founded six years ago near Kyiv, the park has become one of the most popular recreational locations, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

This is exactly where the tour participants came to enjoy the unique landscapes and get unforgettable impressions. During this period, the park’s endless fields are covered with a velvet floral carpet, creating a unique atmosphere of beauty and harmony. Large plantings of five varieties of French lavender, exquisite petunias, royal lilies, and evergreen yuccas cover an area of over ten hectares.

The guests were particularly delighted by the Provencal lavender, which enchanted them with its rich purple colour and subtle, soothing scent. The diplomats also visited 15 themed photo locations, where they took memorable pictures.

During the tour, participants not only enjoyed the variety of flowers and the seasonal blooming of lavender but also learned about the history of the creation of Dobropark Arboretum, its landscape design features, and the principles of plant care. The visit was a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with a unique example of modern landscape art, where natural beauty and a comfortable recreational space are harmoniously combined.

The excursion to Dobropark Arboretum was a great opportunity for the participants to relax amid nature, enjoy the beauty of summer blooms, and spend time in a relaxed atmosphere.
