On Friday, 19 December 2025, the Kyiv City State Administration hosted an inclusive Christmas event titled Talent is in Everyone’s Heart. The Litay NGO organised the event together with Lesia Petrivska, the Kyiv City Council’s commissioner for the rights of persons with disabilities, with the support of various Ukrainian and international partners, including the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
Lesia Petrivska delivered a welcome speech, in which she thanked the event’s participants and partners for their contributions and willingness to join the Christmas miracle of fulfilling children’s dreams, stressing that many children currently require such support.
The event included the presentation of Christmas gifts to children who found themselves in extreme hardship due to the war in Ukraine. This Christmas, the initiative encouraged young participants to write letters to St. Nicholas, sharing their personal gift wishes. Ukrainian and international partners then made the young respondents’ dreams come true. The charity initiative brought together the embassies of foreign countries accredited in Ukraine, including Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, the Holy See (Vatican), Iraq, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, the European Union’s Delegation, the Order of Malta, and the State Enterprise ‘Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions’.
The Christmas gift-giving ceremony was followed by creative workshops and performances by children. The participants of the special event also took memorable Christmas photos and formed a unity circle.
