This living cultural space combines ancient traditions with modern aesthetics, reviving the spirit of Ukrainian Christmas. Today, Christmas Stories stands as Ukraine’s number one brand for exclusive, handmade Christmas tree ornaments.
Two years ago, the estate opened its doors to visitors for the first time. Each guest who steps across the threshold of this remarkable homestead enters a world of New Year’s enchantment and feels the magical atmosphere of the approaching Christmas season. A live Christmas tree in the courtyard, shimmering with bright lights, together with a multitude of unique ornaments of various themes, instantly creates a festive mood. You will see straw didukhs (a symbolic offering taken from the autumn harvest, symbolising welfare), candles, Christmas stars, and a wide variety of other traditional decorations. You will learn about the Christmas customs of the ancestors of Ukrainians and observe the live process of creating cotton, glass and straw ornaments. You will then proceed to the halls, which feature exclusive handmade decorations, including a collection of ornaments from different regions of Ukraine, symbols of the year 2026, and charming miniature train carriages from Ukrzaliznytsia. You will also have the opportunity to purchase Ukrainian New Year’s home decor, including porcelain tableware, didukhs (a symbolic offering taken from the autumn harvest, symbolising welfare), candles, straw Advent stars, and pavuks (straw mobiles).
The highlight of the tour is participation in a workshop on painting a glass Christmas bauble with the symbol of the coming year 2026, according to the Eastern calendar — the Horse.
At the end of the event, you will have the opportunity to select and purchase Christmas ornaments that you may wish to gift to your loved ones or pass down to future generations. They will become a memorable token of your stay in Ukraine.
Let’s visit this atmospheric space together, where every corner is filled with Ukrainian traditions! It will be a great time!
