Trip to Pereiaslav, the town of museums

It is one of the ancient Ukrainian towns that has attracted the interest of tourists for many years. Its uniqueness lies in its assemblage of nearly thirty museums spanning various subjects, adorned with numerous remarkable historical and architectural monuments across thirty-two square kilometres. The abundance of rare attractions in one town is truly awe-inspiring! The brightest jewel of the city is the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Central Naddniprianshchyna — the first open-air museum in Ukraine. Visitors will discover numerous examples of traditional Ukrainian architecture gathered from across the country. The site houses nearly 300 structures of folk architecture from the 16th to the 20th centuries, including rural homesteads, wooden churches, windmills, and the largest collection of wind-powered mills in Ukraine. The museum also features a unique collection of Ukrainian rushnyky (embroidered towels) from various regions, as well as traditional clothing, tools, musical instruments, household items, and more. A visit to the museum dedicated to Hryhorii Skovoroda, a renowned Ukrainian philosopher and educator, will bestow an enrichment of your experience.

So, if you wish to enjoy the charm and richness of Ukraine’s cosy small towns, join us on a journey to Pereiaslav!
