Meeting of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry with representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps in Ukraine

On Thursday, 27 February 2025, the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the traditional annual meeting of its members with representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps in Ukraine. The event, organised with the informational support of the State Enterprise ‘Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions’, has become an important platform for establishing international economic cooperation and expanding business contacts.

The event brought together representatives of more than 20 countries, including Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, India, Israel, Libya, Lithuania, Pakistan, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, and international organisations, including the African Union, business associations, and companies that promote entrepreneurship.

Among the distinguished guests of the event were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Botswana Oleksii Syvak; First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom Denys Demko; Managing Director of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce Emma Turos; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Valeriu Chiveri; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Ukraine Barakat Ali Elleithy; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Ukraine Rafael de Mello Vidal; Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Ukraine Farasat Zarrin Siyal; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov.

At the beginning of the event, Kira Spyrydonova, Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Oleh Svitlychnyi, Director of the Department of Economics and Investments of the Kyiv City State Administration, greeted the participants.

Mykola Zasulsky, President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered his welcoming remarks. He noted that this event symbolises the strength of the ties that should be further developed between Ukrainian business and the international community, especially in the current challenging context:

‘Today, Ukraine’s economy is demonstrating impressive resilience, including through Ukrainian business. Thanks to the support of our foreign partners, for which we are extremely grateful, Ukraine has maintained macroeconomic stability, and the economy is demonstrating positive trends.’

During the event, the participants discussed current trends in the global economy and prospects for international trade. They had the opportunity to talk individually with diplomats, representatives of trade and economic missions, international organisations and business associations, joined plenary sessions on the prospects for international trade and investment, and got acquainted with the Exporters of Kyiv catalogue, which contains information on 116 leading exporting companies.

In addition to the presentation of the catalogue, case studies of four leading companies were presented: Profi Corporation, Pentada Group LLC, Ante Mediam LLC, and Sporttekhnika Company LLC (Interatletika trademark).

This format of meetings contributes to strengthening international relations and opening up new prospects for the development of Ukrainian business.
