Exclusive tour titled Majestic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

We invite you to take a classic sightseeing tour and explore the thousand-year history of Ukraine’s most prominent religious shrine, immersing yourself in the world of ancient churches of the period from the 12 th to the 18 th centuries, which together shape the unique architectural compound of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. You will see the place where Ukrainian sages and righteous people performed their spiritual feats and hear stories of prominent political and military leaders who patronised the Lavra. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the Church of the Saviour at Berestove, a unique monument inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and opened to visitors recently. It is one of Kyiv’s oldest architectural gems, dating back to the 11 th –12 th centuries. Senior researcher Olena Lopukhina will offer her signature guided tour, sharing insights into the church’s unique murals and frescoes. At the end of the tour, you will also have a rare opportunity to walk through the labyrinths of the Lavra’s caves, which are currently closed to the public.
