Diplomats visited the MHP international food tech, agritech, and retail company

On Thursday, 20 February 2025, the Media Center Directorate organised a visit to the PrJSC MHP food, agritech, and retail company for foreign diplomats, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to Ukraine Ernal Filo and employees of the Embassies of Bulgaria, Italy, Japan, the Order of Malta, Pakistan, Romania, and Slovenia, as well as the European Investment Bank’s regional hub for Eastern Europe and the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.

The MHP is an international food tech and agritech company that produces delicious, high-quality food products that improve consumer’s lives. The company was launched in 1998 in Kyiv. Today, its main production sites are based in Ukraine and the countries of the Balkans, while its subsidiaries operate in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and other countries. The MHP is one of the leaders in the Ukrainian agricultural field: over 50% of its production is exported to more than 70 countries across the globe. Particularly, the company is a major producer of chicken, recognised by global ratings, such as the WATTPoultry’s top-10. Furthermore, the MHP is an important Ukrainian exporter of vegetable oils.

Representatives of the MHP’s Corporate Social Responsibility Department hospitably welcomed the guests and invited them to try out the food produced at the company.

The meeting began with introductory speeches by Yurii Melnyk — Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Sustainable Development Directorate; Mykhailo Bno-Airiian — Government Relations Director; and Pavlo Moroz — Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Department.

During the visit, diplomats saw the company’s laboratory and demonstration kitchens as well as entered the production site, where they viewed the gallery, the hot shop and the technology workshop, the packing process, and learned about the production of ready-to-eat, pre-cooked, and ready-to-cook delicious, high-quality food products. The participants also learned about MHP’s own trademark — Chef’s Secrets — created in 2023 as a complete solution for Ukrainians who like to cook. It includes 40 items across different categories (marinades, sauces, preserves, seasonings, frozen ready-to-eat food, ready-to-eat meals, etc.), which are available in the company’s retail network shops.

The highlight of this gastronomic tour was a master class at MHP’s culinary school delivered by chef Roman Makovetskyi. During the master class, the participants learned interesting recipes and secrets of restaurant serving. Moreover, the foreign guests followed the guidance of head chef Yurii Hrytsai in cooking a sous vide duck fillet with sweet potato mousse and berry sauce together.

The event concluded with a tasting of the participant-cooked meals.
