On Wednesday, 4 December 2024, the Media Center hosted the final recap and the ceremony for awarding the winners and laureates of the international student essay contest Invincible Ukraine and Europe and the photomarathon Ukraine’s Heritage Through the Eyes of the Youth.
The contest has been held annually since 2022. Its organisers and partners include the State Enterprise ‘Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions’, KROK University, Fundament Ltd, Vasyl Maslov Local History Museum of Pryluky, Ivan Franko Humanitarian and Pedagogical Professional College of Pryluky, Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, and Sokolynyi Khutir agrotourism complex.
The event began with the welcome addresses of Pavlo Kryvonos — GDIP Director-General, head of the Pryluky department of the Chernihivske zemliatstvo; Volodymyr Ohryzko — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007–9); Andrii Vertehel — coordinator of the Invincible Ukraine and Europe educational project; Mykola Cherep, founder of the Sokolynyi Khutir agrotourism complex; Vasyl Moisiienko — first vice-rector of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National University of Cherkasy; Valerii Demchenko — deputy head of the Chernihivske zemliatstvo in Kyiv; Mariia Storozhuk — head of the student council of Invincible Ukraine and Europe educational project, student of the Ivan Franko Humanitarian and Pedagogical Professional College of Pryluky.
Dariia Honcharenko, Vita Korniienko, and Anastasiia Yazepchyk received the certificates of contest winners.
Mariia Kudinii, Mariia Storozhuk, and Anastasiia Udud simultaneously received the awards in two categories: contest winners and photomarathon stars.
Mariia Anikina, Karina Berezenko, Karina Borodavko, Diana Kolivushko, Ilona Sierykh, and Bohdana Khrystiuk received the certificates of contest laureates and photomarathon stars.
Tamila Vashchuk, Kateryna Yefimenko, Veronika Zavada, Lesia Ishtukina, Anastasiia Minka, Karina Netrebko, Dariia Tkachenko, Anna Shkulipa, Anna Shpak, and Anna Shuliak received the certificates of photomarathon stars.
The organisers granted commemorative gifts to the winners and laureates of the competition and the photomarathon. The participants also thanked the organisers and gave stamps and seals to Pavlo Kryvonos and Volodymyr Ohryzko.
Following the awarding, the head of the Centre for russian studies, Volodymyr Ohryzko, addressed the youth with words of guidance.
The Fundament Ltd, KROK University, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National University of Cherkasy, Making of the Ukrainian Nation Museum, Vasyl Maslov Local History Museum of Pryluky, Sokyryntsi Professional Agrarian Lyceum (Chernihiv Region), Ivan Franko Humanitarian and Pedagogical Professional College of Pryluky, and Sokolynyi Khutir agrotourism complex were also awarded certificates for their active participation in the project’s implementation.
At the end of the event, the winners and organisers took keepsake photos.
