Behind the Scenes of the National Circus of Ukraine: diplomats took part in a new tour by the Media Center

On Saturday, 21 December 2024, the team of the Media Center Directorate conducted a new interesting tour entitled Behind the Scenes of the National Circus of Ukraine.

Representatives of the Embassies of Bulgaria, Germany, Norway, and Romania with their families, as well as staff members of the EU Delegation and Mercy Corps visited the capital’s temple of magic and acrobatic wonders.

The National Circus of Ukraine is one of the oldest in our country. For decades, it has been a place where Kyiv residents and visitors can immerse themselves in a fantastic atmosphere of joy, fun, and laughter.

The main circus arena of Ukraine hospitably opened its doors to the employees of diplomatic missions and warmly invited them to its magical hidden world. During the tour, the diplomats discovered many backstage secrets and saw the dressing room, where artists are transformed into fancy dress characters; the orchestra box, where the magical music of circus acts is born; the costume room with props; and the stage, where performances are rehearsed.

Unique circus labyrinths, which add a certain mystery to the place, caused real excitement among the tour participants.

The event’s highlight was a fantastic New Year’s show, Christmas Stories, about the adventures of elves who learn to perform miracles. Diplomats enjoyed witty jokes, stunning acrobatic acts, illusions and tricks, as well as amazing costumes, incredible music and fabulous visual effects.
